Adventures
of Terra Firma Logo |
Everyone
has to have a logo -- so here is ours. Terra Firma is
drifting
along the coast of Mexico between Puerto Angel and Huatulco, spinnaker
flying and full. It's a beautiful warm day with a gentle
breeze
blowing. Go ahead and daydream. It's good exercise! |

Nicaraguan
Alien Heads |
This
design is a little bit disturbing because we know many of you (and your
kids, nieces, nephews, anyone with a birthday coming up...) really
enjoy those oddly disturbing kinds of designs. The design is
based on a piece of wall art (that's what we like to call grafitti)
found at the Hostal Central in Granada, Nicaragua. The aliens
seem friendly enough as they greet all in the local language.
Hola! |

Free
the Spirit |
This
design was inspired by a smudge of white paint on a black door that we
came across early one morning in San Pedro, Guatemala while looking for
coffee. Perhaps the lack of caffeine precipitated an
hallucinogenic event or maybe the smudge cried out to be photographed,
either way, it looks great on T-Shirts, Mugs, etc.! |

Nicaraguan
Thinker |
Think,
Man! Think! This serious guy presided over our
meals in the
Hostal Central in Granada, Nicaragua. It is another piece of
wall
art (grafitti) from a seemingly talented pool of taggers.
Maybe
the gangs in L.A. should take some art lessons from these guys. |

Buttquet |
It
is always important to take the time to smell the roses, but be
careful! The flowers in this bouquet are the product of two
large
recti and two extremely warped minds! While watching the
Running
of the Bulls (only plural because there were two bulls) in Granada,
Nicaragua, these two 'bums' stationed themselves in front of us for a
better view. Do we have no shame? |

Nirvana |
We
found Nirvana in San Pedro, Guatemala on Lake Atitlan.
Unfortunately it was an out of business restaurant.
The
stenciled and spray painted sign remained, however, and after a few
enhancements, found its way into a design. The restaurant's
moto
was 'For those who look for heaven on earth'. Good thing it
wasn't 'For those who look for a good hot meal'! |

Puppet
Master |
Live
... from the Estero de Jaltepeque in El Salvador ... one night only ...
the incredible fighting dog Puppet Master! This was just too
cool
of a photo not to put it into a design. The boy, Cheque,
seems to
have the snarling dogs under his power. I sure hope so ...
those
dogs look mean and a tad bit rabid! |
